With the victory, Union County advances its record to 13-2 on the year. The Panthers travel to North Murray (Chatsworth, GA) to face the Mountaineers in a AA Region 7 match on Tuesday, January 7. The Mountaineers enter the match with a record of 6-6. North Murray won 75-34 in their recent non-league match against Southeast Whitfield County (Dalton, GA)

The Rebels now own a 8-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Gordon Lee for a A D1 Region 7 match on Tuesday, January 7. Fannin County will face a Trojans squad coming off a 77-46 league loss to Chattooga (Summerville, GA). The Trojans record now stands at 5-10.
