The Knott County Central Patriots basketball team scored 56 points and limited the visiting Floyd Central Jaguars to 44 in the Patriots non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Patriots now have a 6-6 record. They play next when they travel to Cordia for a District 53 game on Tuesday, January 7. Knott County Central will confront a Lions team coming off a 73-42 non-league loss to Buckhorn (Buckhorn, KY). The Lions record now stands at 1-7.
With the loss, Floyd Central falls to 5-7 on the campaign. The Jaguars host Johnson Central (Paintsville, KY) to confront the Golden Eagles in a non-league game on Tuesday, January 7. The Golden Eagles go into the game with a record of 5-4. Johnson Central won 78-61 in their recent non-league game against Maine-Endwell (Endwell, NY)
