The Riverside Pirates (Boardman, OR) basketball crushed the visiting Heppner Mustangs (Heppner, OR), 69-28 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Pirates now possess a 10-4 record. They play next when they travel to La Grande for a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 7. Riverside will play a Tigers team coming off a 69-59 non-league loss to Crook County (Prineville, OR). The Tigers record now stands at 1-6.
With the loss, Heppner falls to 8-6 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Irrigon (Irrigon, OR) to play the Knights in a 2A Blue Mountain bout on Tuesday, January 7. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 7-5. Irrigon won 62-39 in their recent non-league bout against Four Rivers (Ontario, OR)
