The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Hot Springs Tigers (Truth or Consequences, NM) and the visiting Wingate Bears (Fort Wingate, NM), observed Hot Springs's basketball team knock off Wingate by a score of 44-33.
The Tigers (8-3) will now prepare for their bout against Tularosa (Tularosa, NM). The Wildcats go into the non-league bout with a 6-2 record. In their last bout, Tularosa fell by Magdalena (Magdalena, NM), 49-21, in a non-league bout.
With the loss, Wingate falls to 3-6 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Santa Fe Prep (Santa Fe, NM) to play the Blue Griffins in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 7. The Blue Griffins go into the bout with a record of 4-3. Santa Fe Prep won 56-47 in their recent non-league bout against Clayton (Clayton, NM)
