The Eagles (16-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Cottonwood (Cottonwood, AL). The Bears come into the 2A Area 2 challenge with a 6-2 record. In their last challenge, Cottonwood dropped by Ashford (Ashford, AL), 55-52, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Raiders battle the Northside Methodist Academy Knights (Dothan, AL) in a 3A Area 3 challenge, on Tuesday, January 7. Houston Academy will attempt to improve on its 6-4 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 4-16 record after their 55-48 non-league win over Pike Liberal Arts (Troy, AL).
