In Saturday's league contest, the host Kettle Falls Bulldogs basketball team scored a good 64-54 win over the Newport Grizzlies.
The Bulldogs (3-7) will now prepare for their contest against Omak (Omak, WA). The Pioneers come into the non-league contest with a 4-7 record.
In their next game, the Grizzlies battle the Reardan Screaming Eagles (Reardan, WA) in a 2B Bi-County contest, on Friday, January 10. Newport will attempt to better on its 0-9 season record. The Screaming Eagles come into the contest with a 10-1 record after their 87-66 league win over St. George's (Spokane, WA).
