In Saturday's league test, the Washington-Wilkes Tigers (Washington, GA) basketball squad got by the visiting Lincoln County Red Devils (Lincolnton, GA), by a score of 51-48.
Next, the Tigers encounter the Towns County Indians (Hiawassee, GA) in a A D2 Region 8 test, on Friday, January 10. Washington-Wilkes will attempt to improve on its 1-10 season record. The Indians come into the test with a 8-8 record after their 105-64 non-league loss to Rabun County (Tiger, GA).
The Red Devils (2-5) will now prepare for their test against Taliaferro County (Crawfordville, GA). The JAGUARS come into the A D2 Region 8 test with a 3-5 record. In their last test, Taliaferro County was nipped by Milledgeville Athletic Club (Milledgeville, GA), 65-59, in a non-league test.
