The Austin Black Bears basketball team scored 60 points and limited the visiting Mae Jemison Jaguars to 49 in the Black Bears non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Black Bears now have a 5-14 record. They play next when they host Florence for a 7A Area 8 game on Tuesday, January 7. Austin will confront a Falcons team coming off a 66-31 non-league loss to Deshler (Tuscumbia, AL). The Falcons record now stands at 9-9.

With the loss, Mae Jemison falls to 10-11 on the campaign. The Jaguars host Hazel Green (Hazel Green, AL) to confront the Trojans in a 6A Area 16 game on Tuesday, January 7. The Trojans go into the game with a record of 16-7. Hazel Green lost 62-36 in their recent non-league game against Bradley Central (Cleveland, TN)
