In Saturday's league contest, the visiting Gabriel Richard Fighting Irish basketball team scored a big 62-31 triumph over the Central Catholic Fighting Irish.
The Fighting Irish (8-1) will now prepare for their contest against Notre Dame Academy (Toledo, OH). The Eagles go into the Freelance contest with a 7-3 record.
In their next game, the Fighting Irish battle the Western Reserve Academy Pioneers (Hudson, OH) in a non-league contest, on Wednesday, January 8. Central Catholic will attempt to better on its 1-7 season record. The Pioneers go into the contest with a 7-4 record after their 62-57 non-league win over Oak City Prep (Raleigh, NC).
