The Groton Tigers (Groton, SD) basketball crushed the visiting Redfield Pheasants (Redfield, SD), 51-9 in Saturday's league bout.
The Tigers now possess a 5-1 record. They play next when they host Warner for a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 7. Groton will play a Monarchs team coming off a 57-40 non-league loss to Roncalli (Aberdeen, SD). The Monarchs record now stands at 3-3.
With the loss, Redfield falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Pheasants host Britton-Hecla (Britton, SD) to play the Braves in a A Region 1 bout on Thursday, January 9. The Braves go into the bout with a record of 1-5.
