The crowd at Saturday's league challenge between the Los Altos Eagles (Los Altos, CA) and the visiting Homestead Mustangs (Cupertino, CA), observed Los Altos's basketball team overcome Homestead by a margin of 54-41.

The Eagles (4-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Los Gatos (Los Gatos, CA). The Wildcats come into the Santa Clara Valley - De Anza challenge with a 4-7 record. In their last challenge, Los Gatos defeated Milpitas (Milpitas, CA), 61-29, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Mustangs battle the Menlo School Knights (Atherton, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 7. Homestead will attempt to better on its 6-6 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 9-0 record after their 53-38 non-league win over Menlo-Atherton (Atherton, CA).
