Alaska High School Basketball - Skagway holds off Hoonah

In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Skagway Panthers basketball team scored a close 29-25 triumph over the Hoonah Braves.
The Panthers (3-0) will now prepare for their contest against Kake (Kake, AK). The Thunderbirds go into the 1A Southeast contest with a 0-0 record.
In their next game, the Braves confront the Klawock Chieftains (Klawock, AK) in a 1A Southeast contest, on Saturday, January 11. Hoonah will attempt to better on its 0-3 season record. The Chieftains go into the contest with a 1-4 record after their 45-27 non-league loss to Kenai Central (Kenai, AK).
