The Wrangell Wolves basketball squad (Wrangell, AK), lost 59-39 in Saturday's league battle with the host Metlakatla Chiefs (Metlakatla, AK)

With the victory, Metlakatla advances its record to 5-1 on the year. The Chiefs travel to Haines (Haines, AK) to meet the Glacier Bears in a 2A Southeast battle on Friday, January 10. The Glacier Bears enter the battle with a record of 0-2. Haines lost 49-33 in their recent non-league battle against Metlakatla (Metlakatla, AK)

The Wolves now own a 0-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Petersburg for a 2A Southeast battle on Friday, January 10. Wrangell will meet a Vikings squad coming off a 41-22 league loss to Craig (Craig, AK). The Vikings record now stands at 0-2.
