In Saturday's league contest, the visiting Belmont Marauders ice hockey team scored a close 4-1 victory over the Winchester Red & Black.
The Marauders (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Reading Memorial (Reading, MA). The Rockets come into the Massachusetts Middlesex challenge with a 5-1 record. In their last challenge, Reading Memorial got by Woburn Memorial (Woburn, MA), 4-1, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Red & Black battle the Arlington Spy Ponders (Arlington, MA) in a Massachusetts Middlesex challenge, on Wednesday, January 8. Winchester will attempt to upgrade on its 5-2 season record.
