The Coventry Oakers ice hockey team scored 7 points and held the host Lincoln Lions to 5 in the Oakers league victory on Saturday.

The Oakers (1-4) will now prepare for their contest against Chariho (Wood River Junction, RI). The Chargers go into the non-league contest with a 3-1 record. In their last contest, Chariho edged West Warwick (West Warwick, RI), 9-6, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Lions play the Cranston East Thunderbolts (Cranston, RI) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 10. Lincoln will attempt to better on its 3-4 season record. The Thunderbolts go into the contest with a 0-1 record after their 6-1 non-league loss to East Greenwich (East Greenwich, RI).
