In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting St. Cloud Cathedral Crusaders ice hockey team scored a close 4-2 triumph over the Orono Spartans.

The Crusaders (6-7) will now prepare for their contest against Little Falls (Little Falls, MN). The Flyers come into the Granite Ridge contest with a 4-2 record. In their last contest, Little Falls got by Princeton (Princeton, MN), 5-1, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Spartans battle the New Prague Trojans (New Prague, MN) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, January 9. Orono will attempt to better on its 6-5 season record. The Trojans come into the contest with a 6-2 record after their 4-3 non-league loss to Hutchinson (Hutchinson, MN).
