The Battle Mountain Longhorns basketball team scored 47 points and limited the visiting Sierra Lutheran Falcons to 24 in the Longhorns non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Longhorns now possess a 4-8 record. They play next when they host Oasis Academy for a game on Friday, January 10. Battle Mountain will play a Bighorns team coming off a 45-31 league loss to Sierra Lutheran (Carson City, NV). The Bighorns record now stands at 0-5.

With the loss, Sierra Lutheran falls to 5-5 on the campaign. The Falcons host North Tahoe (Tahoe City, CA) to play the Lakers in a game on Tuesday, January 7. The Lakers go into the game with a record of 0-9. North Tahoe lost 58-17 in their recent league game against Pershing County (Lovelock, NV)
