In Thursday's league outing, the Cedar Creek Pirates (Egg Harbor City, NJ) basketball squad edged the visiting Atlantic County Institute of Tech (Mays Landing, NJ), by a margin of 64-59.

The Pirates (5-5) will now prepare for their outing against Absegami (Galloway, NJ). The Braves go into the Cape/Atlantic - National outing with a 5-3 record. In their last outing, Absegami held off Buena (Buena, NJ), 68-35, in a non-league outing.

The now own a 6-2 record. They play next when they host Oakcrest for a Cape/Atlantic - National outing on Friday, January 6.
