Macon-East Montgomery Academy Knights (Cecil, AL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Autauga Academy Generals (Prattville, AL), 52-41 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Macon-East Montgomery Academy upgrades its record to 13-3 on the season. The Knights host Glenwood (Phenix City, AL) to play the Gators in a AISA AAA Region 1 bout on Friday, January 6. The Gators go into the bout with a record of 11-4. Glenwood won 1-0 in their recent league bout against Valiant Cross Academy (Montgomery, AL)

Next up, the Generals play the Edgewood Academy Wildcats (Elmore, AL) in a AISA AA Region 1 bout, on Friday, January 6. Autauga Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 12-3 record after their 41-39 non-league win over Evangel Christian Academy (Montgomery, AL).
