Connecticut High School Basketball - Bridgeport Central overwhelmed by Bassick

The Bassick Lions basketball team scored 85 points and restricted the visiting Bridgeport Central Hilltoppers to 58 in the Lions non-league victory on Thursday.

The Lions now sport a 2-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Putnam Vo-Tech for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 7. Bassick will battle a Beavers team coming off a 72-69 league loss to Holyoke (Holyoke, MA). The Beavers record now stands at 4-3.

The Hilltoppers (1-2) will now prepare for their contest against Ludlowe (Fairfield, CT). The Falcons come into the Fairfield County contest with a 2-2 record. In their last contest, Ludlowe was routed by Warde (Fairfield, CT), 55-35, in a league contest.
