The Bloomfield Bengals basketball team scored 62 points and held the visiting University Phoenix to 50 in the Bengals non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Bengals now sport a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Central for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 7. Bloomfield will meet a Blue Devils team coming off a 57-49 league loss to East Orange Campus (East Orange, NJ). The Blue Devils record now stands at 2-5.
The Phoenix (0-7) will now prepare for their contest against Kearny (Kearny, NJ). The Kardinals enter the non-league contest with a 6-3 record. In their last contest, Kearny ran past Pompton Lakes (Pompton Lakes, NJ), 78-47, in a non-league contest.
