The Olmsted Owls (Buffalo, NY) basketball knocked off the visiting Buffalo Academy for Visual & Performing Arts Cavaliers (Buffalo, NY), 62-43 in Thursday's league test.

The Owls (4-4) will now prepare for their test against City Honors (Buffalo, NY). The Centaurs go into the Section 6 Buffalo II test with a 3-4 record. In their last test, City Honors notched a victory over Maryvale (Cheektowaga, NY), 48-38, in a non-league test.

The Cavaliers now own a 2-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Christian Central Academy for a non-league contest on Monday, January 9. Buffalo Academy for Visual & Performing Arts will meet a Crusaders team coming off a 48-45 non-league win over Alden (Alden, NY). The Crusaders record now stands at 5-2.
