The Central Panthers basketball team (Independence, OR), was nudged 53-48 in Thursday's league battle with the host Silverton Foxes (Silverton, OR)
The Foxes now possess a 4-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host South Albany for a 5A Mid-Willamette battle on Monday, January 9. Silverton will battle a Redhawks team coming off a 67-28 league win over McKay (Salem, OR). The Redhawks record now stands at 4-4.
The Panthers (5-4) will now prepare for their battle against West Albany (Albany, OR). The Bulldogs come into the 5A Mid-Willamette battle with a 5-5 record. In their last battle, West Albany edged Lebanon (Lebanon, OR), 59-37, in a league battle.
