Chatfield Gophers (Chatfield, MN) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Triton Cobras (Dodge Center, MN), 78-53 in a league bout.

With the victory, Chatfield upgrades its record to 5-4 on the campaign. The Gophers travel to Maple River (Mapleton, MN) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 7. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 10-1. Maple River won 74-37 in their recent league bout against New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva (New Richland, MN)

Next up, the Cobras play the Bethlehem Academy Cardinals (Faribault, MN) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Triton will attempt to upgrade on its 2-7 season record. The Cardinals come into the bout with a 4-3 record after their 61-49 non-league win over West Lutheran (Plymouth, MN).
