Clear Lake Cardinals (Lakeport, CA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Roseland University Prep Knights (Santa Rosa, CA), 1-0 in a league bout.

With the victory, Clear Lake upgrades its record to 9-4 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Middletown (Middletown, CA) to play the Mustangs in a North Central I bout on Saturday, January 7. The Mustangs come into the bout with a record of 6-6. Middletown lost 56-50 in their recent league bout against St. Helena (St. Helena, CA)

Next up, the Knights play the Lower Lake Trojans (Lower Lake, CA) in a North Central I bout, on Saturday, January 7. Roseland University Prep will attempt to upgrade on its 0-13 season record. The Trojans come into the bout with a 6-6 record after their 48-46 league win over Willits (Willits, CA).
