The Colonia Patriots basketball team scored 77 points and held the visiting East Brunswick Bears to 49 in the Patriots non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Patriots now sport a 7-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Monroe Township for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 7. Colonia will meet a Falcons team coming off a 42-38 league loss to Piscataway (Piscataway, NJ). The Falcons record now stands at 2-7.

The Bears (4-9) will now prepare for their contest against Somerset Tech (Bridgewater, NJ). The Jaguars enter the non-league contest with a 2-1 record. In their last contest, Somerset Tech triumphed over Koinonia Academy (Plainfield, NJ), 49-45, in a league contest.
