Dirigo Cougars (Dixfield, ME) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Mount Abram Roadrunners (Strong, ME), 67-65 in a league bout.

With the win, Dirigo upgrades its record to 9-0 on the season. The Cougars host Madison (Madison, ME) to clash with the Bulldogs in a C South bout on Saturday, January 7. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 1-4.

Next up, the Roadrunners clash with the Carrabec Cobras (North Anson, ME) in a C South bout, on Saturday, January 7. Mount Abram will attempt to upgrade on its 4-2 season record. The Cobras go into the bout with a 3-4 record after their 55-36 league win over Buckfield (Buckfield, ME).
