Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the East Carter Raiders (Grayson, KY) and the host West Carter Comets (Olive Hill, KY), saw East Carter's basketball squad wallop West Carter by a tally of 59-35.

With the victory, East Carter improves its record to 6-5 on the campaign. The Raiders host Greenup County (Greenup, KY) to confront the Musketeers in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 10. The Musketeers come into the challenge with a record of 3-7.

Next up, the Comets confront the Rose Hill Christian Royals (Ashland, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 7. West Carter will attempt to improve on its 2-9 season record. The Royals come into the challenge with a 3-7 record after their 74-56 non-league win over Hannan (Ashton, WV).
