The Valwood Valiants (Valdosta, GA) basketball crushed the visiting Echols County Wildcats (Statenville, GA), 71-38 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Valiants (6-2) will now prepare for their test against Southland Academy (Americus, GA). The Raiders go into the GIAA AAAA/AAA District 3 test with a 8-3 record. In their last test, Southland Academy walloped Southwest Georgia Academy (Damascus, GA), 60-47, in a non-league test.

The Wildcats now own a 2-8 record. They play next when they travel to Westwood for a non-league test on Saturday, January 7. Echols County will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 54-39 non-league loss to Brookwood (Thomasville, GA). The Wildcats record now stands at 2-8.
