Freeport Bulldogs (Freeport, FL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Vernon Yellowjackets (Vernon, FL), 78-46 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Freeport upgrades its record to 4-8 on the season. The Bulldogs host Rocky Bayou Christian (Niceville, FL) to play the Knights in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 3-5.

Next up, the Yellowjackets play the Wewahitchka Gators (Wewahitchka, FL) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 6. Vernon will attempt to upgrade on its 2-12 season record. The Gators go into the bout with a 1-8 record after their 55-14 non-league loss to Blountstown (Blountstown, FL).
