Alabama High School Basketball - Monroe County knocked off by Hillcrest

January 5, 2023: Monroeville, AL 36460

The Hillcrest Jaguars basketball team scored 64 points and held the host Monroe County Tigers to 55 in the Jaguars non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Jaguars now sport a 9-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Highland Home for a non-league contest on Friday, January 6. Hillcrest will battle a Flying Squadron team coming off a 63-57 non-league win over Center Point (Birmingham, AL). The Flying Squadron record now stands at 5-3.

The Tigers (3-14) will now prepare for their contest against Oakman (Oakman, AL). The Wildcats enter the non-league contest with a 9-7 record. In their last contest, Oakman ran past Fayette County (Fayette, AL), 49-46, in a league contest.
