The Homewood Patriots (Homewood, AL) basketball knocked off the visiting Jackson-Olin Mustangs (Birmingham, AL), 59-40 in Thursday's league test.
The Patriots (12-9) will now prepare for their test against Parker (Birmingham, AL). The Thundering Herd go into the 6A Area 9 test with a 5-10 record. In their last test, Parker notched a victory over Jackson-Olin (Birmingham, AL), 45-30, in a league test.
The Mustangs now own a 4-7 record. They play next when they travel to Parker for a 6A Area 9 test on Tuesday, January 10. Jackson-Olin will encounter a Thundering Herd squad coming off a 61-31 non-league win over Holy Family Catholic (Birmingham, AL). The Thundering Herd record now stands at 4-10.
