The Lafayette Fighting Irish (St. Joseph, MO) basketball felled the visiting Maryville Spoofhounds (Maryville, MO), 72-57 in Thursday's league test.
The Fighting Irish (5-3) will now prepare for their test against Roncalli Catholic (Omaha, NE). The Crimson Pride go into the non-league test with a 5-4 record. In their last test, Roncalli Catholic was beaten by Skutt Catholic (Omaha, NE), 76-53, in a non-league test.
The Spoofhounds now own a 7-3 record. They play next when they host Red Oak for a non-league test on Friday, January 6. Maryville will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 70-58 league win over St. Albert (Council Bluffs, IA). The Tigers record now stands at 2-6.
