Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Mahanoy Area succumbs to Marian Catholic

The Marian Catholic topped the visiting Mahanoy Area Golden Bears basketball team by a final score of 58-49 in Thursday's league game.

In their next game, the face the Nativity BVM Green Wave (Pottsville, PA) in a Schuylkill County 3 game, on Monday, January 9. Marian Catholic will attempt to move on its 4-6 season record. The Green Wave enter the game with a 3-6 record after their 78-56 non-league loss to Executive Education Academy Charter School (Allentown, PA).

With the defeat, Mahanoy Area moves to 4-2 on the year. The Golden bears host Lincoln Leadership Academy (Allentown, PA) to face the Lions in a non-league game on Monday, January 9. The Lions enter the game with a record of 6-6. Lincoln Leadership Academy won 59-20 in their recent non-league game against Weatherly (Weatherly, PA)
