Morgantown Mohigans (Morgantown, WV) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Parkersburg South Patriots (Parkersburg, WV), 71-59 in a league bout.

With the win, Morgantown upgrades its record to 9-1 on the season. The Mohigans host Buckhannon-Upshur (Buckhannon, WV) to play the Buccaneers in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 7. The Buccaneers go into the bout with a record of 4-5. Buckhannon-Upshur won 59-42 in their recent league bout against Grafton (Grafton, WV)

Next up, the Patriots play the Cabell Midland Knights (Ona, WV) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 12. Parkersburg South will attempt to upgrade on its 6-1 season record.
