Passaic Valley Hornets (Little Falls, NJ) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting West Milford Highlanders (West Milford, NJ), 57-53 in a league bout.

With the victory, Passaic Valley upgrades its record to 3-3 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to Park Ridge (Park Ridge, NJ) to play the Owls in a non-league bout on Friday, January 6. The Owls come into the bout with a record of 4-2. Park Ridge lost 35-32 in their recent non-league bout against Leonia (Leonia, NJ)

Next up, the Highlanders play the Kinnelon Colts (Kinnelon, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 7. West Milford will attempt to upgrade on its 0-6 season record. The Colts come into the bout with a 5-1 record after their 59-47 league win over Boonton (Boonton, NJ).
