The Philipsburg-Osceola Mountaineers basketball team scored 60 points and held the visiting Penns Valley Area Rams to 38 in the Mountaineers league triumph on Thursday.

The Mountaineers now sport a 4-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bellefonte for a Mountain contest on Monday, January 9. Philipsburg-Osceola will battle a Raiders team coming off a 46-43 league loss to Clearfield (Clearfield, PA). The Raiders record now stands at 3-6.

The Rams (1-8) will now prepare for their contest against Hollidaysburg (Hollidaysburg, PA). The Golden Tigers enter the Mountain contest with a 2-9 record. In their last contest, Hollidaysburg was routed by Bald Eagle Area (Wingate, PA), 59-55, in a league contest.
