Perkins Pirates (Sandusky, OH) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Vermilion Sailors (Vermilion, OH), 65-55 in a league bout.

With the win, Perkins upgrades its record to 6-3 on the season. The Pirates travel to Oak Harbor (Oak Harbor, OH) to play the Rockets in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 7. The Rockets go into the bout with a record of 3-8. Oak Harbor lost 64-50 in their recent league bout against Margaretta (Castalia, OH)

Next up, the Sailors play the Edison Chargers (Milan, OH) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 7. Vermilion will attempt to upgrade on its 4-8 season record. The Chargers go into the bout with a 2-6 record after their 62-42 league loss to Port Clinton (Port Clinton, OH).
