The Plainfield Cardinals basketball team (Plainfield, NJ), dropped 42-27 in Thursday's non-league battle with the visiting Westfield Blue Devils (Westfield, NJ)
The Blue Devils now possess a 5-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Scotch Plains-Fanwood for a Mountain Valley - Mountain battle on Saturday, January 7. Westfield will battle a Raiders team coming off a 58-51 league loss to Union (Union, NJ). The Raiders record now stands at 2-3.
The Cardinals (2-6) will now prepare for their battle against Elizabeth (Elizabeth, NJ). The Minutemen come into the Union County battle with a 4-4 record. In their last battle, Elizabeth prevailed over Linden (Linden, NJ), 60-46, in a league battle.
