Virginia High School Basketball - Poquoson overwhelmed by York

The York Falcons basketball team scored 63 points and restricted the visiting Poquoson Islanders to 20 in the Falcons league victory on Thursday.
The Falcons now sport a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bruton for a Bay Rivers contest on Friday, January 6. York will battle a Panthers team coming off a 56-42 league win over Warhill (Williamsburg, VA). The Panthers record now stands at 3-7.
The Islanders (2-7) will now prepare for their contest against New Kent (New Kent, VA). The Trojans come into the Bay Rivers contest with a 7-4 record. In their last contest, New Kent triumphed over Jamestown (Williamsburg, VA), 70-61, in a league contest.
