Sauk Centre Mainstreeters (Sauk Centre, MN) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host West Central Area Knights (Barrett, MN), 66-58 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Sauk Centre upgrades its record to 4-1 on the season. The Mainstreeters host B O L D (Olivia, MN) to play the Warriors in a non-league bout on Friday, January 6. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 2-3. B O L D lost 91-83 in their recent non-league bout against North Woods (Cook, MN)

Next up, the Knights play the Minnewaska Area Lakers (Glenwood, MN) in a AA Section 3 bout, on Friday, January 6. West Central Area will attempt to upgrade on its 6-2 season record. The Lakers go into the bout with a 1-8 record after their 72-66 non-league loss to Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted (Howard Lake, MN).
