Maine High School Basketball - Thornton Academy trounces Scarborough

The Thornton Academy Trojans (Saco, ME) basketball crushed the visiting Scarborough Red Storm (Scarborough, ME), 61-40 in Thursday's league test.
The Trojans (7-0) will now prepare for their test against Sanford (Sanford, ME). The Spartans go into the AA South test with a 1-6 record. In their last test, Sanford was trounced by South Portland (South Portland, ME), 78-41, in a league test.
The Red Storm now own a 2-5 record. They play next when they host South Portland for a AA South test on Saturday, January 7. Scarborough will encounter a Red Riots squad coming off a 82-22 league win over Massabesic (Waterboro, ME). The Red Riots record now stands at 7-1.
