The Wetumpka Indians basketball team scored 69 points and restricted the visiting Stanhope Elmore Mustangs to 61 in the Indians non-league victory on Thursday.

The Indians now sport a 11-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lanier for a 6A Area 3 contest on Tuesday, January 10. Wetumpka will battle a Poets team coming off a 57-56 league win over Carver Montgomery (Montgomery, AL). The Poets record now stands at 11-7.

The Mustangs (10-7) will now prepare for their contest against Carver Montgomery (Montgomery, AL). The Wolverines come into the 6A Area 3 contest with a 5-12 record. In their last contest, Carver Montgomery dropped by Lanier (Montgomery, AL), 57-56, in a league contest.
