The Wakpala Sioux basketball team scored 61 points and held the host Strasburg/Zeeland Clippers to 48 in the Sioux non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Sioux now sport a 2-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bison for a B Region 8 contest on Saturday, January 7. Wakpala will meet a Cardinals team coming off a 58-30 non-league loss to Philip (Philip, SD). The Cardinals record now stands at 2-2.

The Clippers (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Flasher (Flasher, ND). The Bulldogs enter the non-league contest with a 2-1 record. In their last contest, Flasher ran past Surrey (Surrey, ND), 62-42, in a non-league contest.
