New Mexico High School Basketball - Alamo Navajo edges Reserve

The Alamo Navajo Cougars (Magdalena, NM) basketball nipped the visiting Reserve Mountaineers (Reserve, NM), 40-36 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Cougars (9-3) will now prepare for their test against Mescalero Apache (Mescalero, NM). The Chiefs go into the non-league test with a 8-4 record. In their last test, Mescalero Apache got by Chaparral (Chaparral, NM), 42-40, in a non-league test.
The Mountaineers now own a 6-4 record. They play next when they travel to Carrizozo for a non-league test on Saturday, January 7. Reserve will encounter a Grizzlies squad coming off a 62-17 non-league loss to Quemado (Quemado, NM). The Grizzlies record now stands at 0-9.
