The Ames Little Cyclones basketball team scored 34 points and held the visiting Marshalltown Bobcats to 12 in the Little Cyclones league triumph on Thursday.

The Little Cyclones now sport a 1-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ottumwa for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 10.

The Bobcats (1-9) will now prepare for their contest against Jefferson (Cedar Rapids, IA). The Hawks enter the non-league contest with a 3-7 record. In their last contest, Jefferson was routed by Dubuque Senior (Dubuque, IA), 61-46, in a league contest.
