In Thursday's league match, the visiting Ashland Arrows basketball team scored a tight 35-34 triumph over the Lexington Minutemen.

In their next game, the Arrows meet the New Philadelphia Quakers (New Philadelphia, OH) in a non-league match, on Saturday, January 7. Ashland will attempt to better on its 2-10 season record. The Quakers enter the match with a 5-6 record after their 57-39 non-league win over Madison Comprehensive (Mansfield, OH).
