Beacon Bulldogs (Beacon, NY) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Minisink Valley Warriors (Slate Hill, NY), 34-23 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Beacon upgrades its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Washingtonville (Washingtonville, NY) to play the Wizards in a non-league bout on Monday, January 9. The Wizards come into the bout with a record of 2-4. Washingtonville lost 65-36 in their recent non-league bout against Middletown (Middletown, NY)

Next up, the Warriors play the Cornwall Central Dragons (New Windsor, NY) in a Section 9 Orange County III bout, on Friday, January 13. Minisink Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record.
