Burgettstown Blue Devils (Burgettstown, PA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Sto-Rox Vikings (McKees Rocks, PA), 69-16 in a league bout.

With the win, Burgettstown upgrades its record to 7-4 on the season. The Blue Devils host Weir (Weirton, WV) to clash with the Red Riders in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 7. The Red Riders go into the bout with a record of 1-6. Weir lost 45-44 in their recent league bout against Oak Glen (New Cumberland, WV)

Next up, the Vikings clash with the Northgate Flames (Pittsburgh, PA) in a WPIAL 2A 2 bout, on Monday, January 9. Sto-Rox will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Flames go into the bout with a 1-8 record after their 55-25 league loss to Carlynton (Carnegie, PA).
