Central Springs Panthers (Manly, IA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Nashua-Plainfield Huskies (Nashua, IA), 61-18 in a league bout.

With the win, Central Springs upgrades its record to 4-4 on the season. The Panthers host St. Ansgar (St. Ansgar, IA) to clash with the Saints in a Corn Bowl bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Saints go into the bout with a record of 9-2. St. Ansgar won 54-51 in their recent non-league bout against Newman Catholic (Mason City, IA)

Next up, the Huskies clash with the West Fork Warhawks (Sheffield, IA) in a Corn Bowl game, on Friday, January 6. Nashua-Plainfield will attempt to move on its 2-6 season record. The Warhawks enter the game with a 7-0 record after their 53-17 league win over North Butler (Greene, IA).
